A Masterclass in Frustration: Deceptive Promos & Zero Support 😤
I'm writing this as a warning to anyone considering ordering from glassesusa. My experience was a masterclass in frustration, and I feel completely cheated. To put it plainly, they are dishonest, don't honor promos, and make it impossible to collect an offer when the site is full of glitches. There's no customer service, no agent. Their only "solution" was for me to return my perfectly good glasses and reorder them just to get the BOGO discount they messed up in the first place. It was after this unacceptable offer that I felt compelled to argue my case with their support team.
Customer: The BOGO promotion didn't apply to my order because your website glitched. I need you to honor the offer and credit my card for the second pair.
CS Rep: I do apologize for the technical issue, sir. Unfortunately, we cannot apply a discount after an order is processed. The only solution is to return both pairs and then reorder them using the promotion correctly.
Customer: That is an insane solution. The glasses are correct. The prescription is correct. Your website failed, not me. Why can't you just provide a simple credit back to my card?
CS Rep: I understand your frustration, but our policy requires the promotion to be part of the original transaction. I can help you start the return process, and we can ensure the discount applies to the new order.
Customer: No. That's unprofessional and a waste of my time. You admitted it was your error. Forget it, I won't be returning and I certainly will not be reordering. This is completely dishonest.
The reason I left this review on the website is to hopefully prevent others from falling into the same trap.
