20 Years of Loyalty Betrayed: A Warning to All Customers 😡
I'm writing this as a warning about my terrible online shopping experience with eyebuydirect. After being a loyal customer for almost 20 years, I was completely let down. I ordered two pairs of glasses; one was fine, but the second pair arrived with visible prescription markings etched right on the lenses. Their excuse was that only 'premium' lenses hide these marks, essentially forcing customers to upgrade. I'm VERY disappointed. They lost a very loyal, longtime customer with their ATROCIOUS service and LYING TO ME. I've never had this happen before, which is why I had to contact customer service to understand what went wrong and demand a solution.
Customer: I just received my order and there are numbers and symbols etched all over the lenses of my second pair. I can literally see them in my line of sight!
CS Rep: I apologize for that experience. All our lenses have those markings from the lab, but they are typically not visible on our premium lens options.
Customer: That's a ridiculous excuse. I've been a customer for 20 years and never had this problem with your standard lenses. Are you telling me I have to pay more just to have clear vision? I either want a replacement pair without markings or a full refund.
